Dr. Sudarshan is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist with more than 30 years of experience. He heads the Department of Ophthalmology in Hirachand Chordia Eye Hospital, Sowcarpet, Chennai.
He is a well known Ophthalmic Surgeon whose special skill set lies in the field of cataract and Glaucoma.

Dr. Lily Daniel is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeon. She is specially skilled in modern Cataract surgery and Ophthalmic plastic surgery. Her special interest is management of patients with complicated cataract and facial palsy.

Dr. Priti Udhay was a Former Consultant in Orbit and Oculoplastics in Sankara Nethralaya. She is at present, the Associate Medical Director of DRR Eye and Oculoplasty Hospital in Poonamallee, Chennai.
Her special interest is in the management of patients with Orbital trauma and facial Aesthetics.

With more than 24 years of experience in Ophthalmology, Dr. Mary’s specialization includes management of children with Retinopathy of prematurity and Medical Retina. Her other areas of expertise include microsurgery for Cataract and Glaucoma.

Having completed fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology in Sankara Nethralaya, Dr. Ram Prakash also handles Squint Surgeries.
Ms. Valarmathi Arunachalam B.S.Opt, MPhil
Ms.Valarmathi Arunachalam underwent training in Optometry in BITS, Pilani and Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai and is at present a faculty in the Department of Optometry at Sri Ramachandra University.
At JosEye, Ms Valarmathi provides vision therapy for children with lazy eyes. She is also involved in the process of diagnosing and treating the functional vision deficits of children with Autism, Cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, developmental delay and also children with learning disability.

Visual loss can be devastating and coming to terms with its reality is not easy. Trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy in Swinburne University Australia, Ms.Menon counsels patients who have had visual loss in their adulthood.

Watering of eye caused by nasolacrimal duct obstruction can be relieved by endoscopic nasal surgery (Endoscopic DCR) .The ENT surgeon opines on the management of these conditions but the respective surgeries are not undertaken in JosEye.

His experience in Radiation Oncology is useful in the treatment of thyroid eye disease and other orbital diseases that do not respond to medical therapy. Anaesthesia

Even though cataract surgeries are done under topical anaesthesia or local anaesthesia, to prevent eventualities , all Ophthalmic surgeries that are done at JosEye are done under standby anaesthesia or monitored anaesthetic care.This means that while the ophthalmologist is operating on the patient, the anaesthetist monitors all the vital parameters of the patient to ensure safe conduct of Ophthalmic surgical procedures.
